OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

DOES NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove does not ignite, be sure the stove is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is lit, then another part will have to be repaired. The reason for the problem could be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not heat won’t do much good. An oven won’t heat if there’s a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner will not fire up when an element breaks or the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We can repair these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It is safe to assume the control panel on a stove is broken when the program or timer settings don’t work. If that is the case, we know how to replace control boards on Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and the replacement parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is extremely hot, it might be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians know how to identify the location of the issue and then repair it. Be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter will glow but it will not light. The cause is from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can repair these parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning models of ovens can experience door problems often. The door does not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to identify why the door won’t open and then we complete the repair so we can put an end to the problem.
